![]() I don't actually expect a solution here, that would be up to those at Corel since I believe they do want current customers to become future customers but I want to add my voice to those also having crashing/freezing issues with PSPX8 software. Unfortunately there's a conflict somewhere. The PSPX8 is updated and it's a fresh install. Typically I will be doing some simple photo editing and get through perhaps a couple edits, attempt to save, and then either the PSPX8 software freezes hard in place and only a task manager "Restart" or "Kill Process" can change its status, or, it at least pops up the error message, suggesting it will search for an online answer though nothing further ever happens. I'm not sure which way to describe it since sometimes it starts showing the "encountered a problem" message which eventually creates a crash and sometimes it freezes, hard, such that no action via the usual means has an effect. I have a new Windows 10 laptop, so I believe the PSPX8 install couldn't have been any cleaner, and yet the PSPX8 software is either freezing or crashing. That being written, I'm really just posting this as a FYI to Corel programmers I suppose. A big thanks in advance also to all those that might have suggestions and ideas both here and elsewhere. ![]() Glad to have found this forum and look forward to reading all the helpful hints and whatnot going forward on various topics. Maybe there's a really obvious solution to this problem. ![]() I use it on a Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) Intel Core i5-2500 3.30Ghz, 8 GB or Ram and 1TB hard disc. The program crashes when I use the warp tools. The program crashes when I use an imported texture/pattern. The program crashes when I use the vector tools (any of then). If the text stays, one of the two colors doesn't change, so the text appears bold. ![]() The text layer disappear right after I've written my text! (Wtf?!?) I draw a shape, but it doesn't close itself. The freehand selection tool never complete. I've tried to follow the tutorials on Corel's YouTube channel, but since the program doesn't work as it's supposed, I have a hard time finishing those tutorials. I now have the time to learn it and to my surprise a lot of functions don't work and it crashes so much that it's barely usable. A couple of months ago I bought Paint Shop Pro X8, thinking it would be a nice upgrade to my Photofiltre X program which is really basic. ![]()
